In a Nut Shell

  •          We aim to increase the quality of lacrosse among our participants, regardless of their current abilities. We offer programs for the novice players, elite high school players and all those in-between.

HOW???

       1.     Through proper instruction of game fundamentals with a progression towards game strategy.

       2.     Employment of knowledgeable personnel who have a passion for teaching and the game of lacrosse.

Rob Vigeant: Director/Founder

Coach Vigeant was the Varsity Lacrosse Coach at St. John’s from 2002-2009. During his tenure, his teams have won League titles in 2002,03,04,05,06, 07, and 09; three Central Massachusetts District titles and played in three State-Semi Final games and one State Final in 2009. He has been named US Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2005 along with being named US Lacrosse Man of the Year for 2008. A number of his players have moved onto the college ranks, and play for a number of Division I, II and III programs. He has coached 11 High School All-Americans, 4 of which have become collegiate team captains. Most noteworthy, in 2008 Coach Vigeant became the 1st lacrosse coach in Central Ma. to win 100+ games.  Over his tenure, he amassed a record of 125-39. 

 

Patrick Gaffney: Co-Director

Coach Gaffney has been involved with the lacrosse world for over 10 years. As a resident of Worcester, Ma. he now returns home in aim to provide future generations of lacrosse players the opportunities he never had. An enthusiast of the game, Patrick has coached from the youth level up to the collegiate ranks. Patrick graduated from Endicott College in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Sports Management and is currently obtaining his M.B.A from Anna Maria College. Aditonally Patrick is the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts (email at pgaffney@annamaria.edu).

Patrick attended St. John’s High School where he was a 4 year varsity starter for the lacrosse team. Earning various honors throughout, his high school career was topped off with being selected as an All-American and a participant in the National North-South Senior All-Star Game. At the collegiate ranks Patrick attended Endicott College where he excelled academically and athletically. As a 4 year starter he was a Senior Captain, 4X All Conference, 2X All New England, 2007 Defensive Player of the Year for his Conference, and a USILA Division III All-American Defenseman. A brief recap of his collegiate career reveals no conference losses, 4 NCAA Tournament appearances and participation in both the Senior North/South and East/West All-Star Games.
